Cem is a doctoral researcher at LAIR. He is an architect and computational designer with a background in computer science, a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Istanbul Technical University and a master’s degree in architectural design informatics from Istanbul Technical University’s graduate program. He has experience in data enrichment for deep learning in documentation tasks, 3D semantic segmentation of historic building parts and semi-automatic reconstruction of architectural elements using visual programming tools.
He is currently a graduate student in an individual PhD program at the Faculty of Architecture, Université de Montréal. His research focuses on the application of computer vision to architectural problems and circularity-oriented digital manufacturing solutions.
